I have recently been named by Forbes magazine in the 30 Under 30 list, Georgia Institute of Technology's 40 Under 40 list, and MIT Technology Review Innovators Under 35 list., I have completed Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mumbai (KJ Somaiya College of Engineering), MS in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, USA, and PhD from Imperial College London. I am working at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor on an industrially sponsored project. Given my background and accomplishments, I qualify for EB1 and I will soon begin with this Green Card process (expect a green card by 2025-26).
I like to live a simple and non-materialist life. I am more of a family man. I cook good vegetarian and non-vegetarian food: Maharashtrian, South-Indian, Punjabi, Mughlai and Chinese; however cooking isn't my hobby. My friends would describe me to be straightforward, upright and honest, and someone with a good sense of humour. I am religious and have very liberal views yet follow most cultural norms/conventions. Apart from being completely into scientific research, I like to analyse politics. My political views are 'right of left and left of right'.
My family is settled in Mumbai for 30+ years. My parents originally hail from Satara, and me and my siblings are raised in Mumbai. My native place is in Satara district. Both of my parents are graduates, and we belong to middle class. My family's views lie in between liberalism and conservatism. My father is retired personnel from Maharashtra Police service as Asst. Commissioner of Police. At present, he is working in a private firm. My mother is a home-maker and Yoga teacher. My eldest sister is an MD Gynaecologist (post-MBBS) and at present she is working in a private hospital in Mumbai. She is married to an Orthopedic Surgeon. My elder sister is a Dentist; she is practicing in a private clinic in Mumbai, and is married. I am looking for a match with native place/ancestral origin preferably from Satara, Sangli, Solapur, Kolhapur, Pune etc. As I intend to stay/settle/work in USA, I am looking for a match preferably with a job/work permit/residency/citizenship/license to practice profession, in USA.
